Between DIY bubble machines, LED strip Connect 4 and an automated l ventilator, the projects at this year's Science Hack Day Dublin were super! Huge kudos to the team for organising another outstanding community hackathon and everyone who took part who used their science powers for good!

As an immunologist and science communicator, I'm embarrassed by HIQA's piece at today's Department of Health briefing. Information was not communicated in an accessible, nor media/public-friendly manner. At this time, leading scientists have a responsibility to consider their audience.
