Thunderstorm chances have slightly bumped up Tuesday-Friday. A small chance of thunderstorms begin Tue, with increasing chances Wed-Fri. Storms will initially be drier, but more moisture moves in as early as Wed, and by Thu/Fri, storms will become wetter. #rain #CaWx #LArain

Preliminary new high temperature records set today. Downtown LA had a high of 97 degrees, breaking the old record of 94 set in 1931. NWS Oxnard had a high of 95 degrees, which ties the record previously set in 1931. #CAwx

Light showers are expanding over the region. This rain should increase in coverage through early Thursday, peaking Thursday morning when the rain should be moderate to locally heavy. Expect impacts to holiday events, road issues (delays and some flooding), and downed trees. #cawx
