We stand in solidarity with Newton Teachers Association striking for better schools, better learning environment for kids, and better jobs.

The UAW stands with the Newton Teachers Association in Newton, Massachusetts who are Standing Up for a better life for their coworkers, their students, and their families. It doesn’t matter what the law says: it is ALWAYS right to stand up for what’s right. Stand Up for public education!

CTU is standing strong with Newton Teachers Association fighting for a fair and just contract! Teacher strikes are illegal in Massachusetts, but Newton Teachers Association are doing what's right for their students. We are proud to support you.

“We taught our students not to be afraid that when those in power try to take away your rights, that they should stand up for themselves, that they should not do it alone, but together.” — Newton Teachers Association spokesperson Ryan Normandin bostonglobe.com/2024/02/02/met…

Fantastic news that #Newton teachers strike is over! As strikes increase in U.S. (inc/ illegal strikes in #Massachusetts by teachers), powerful column by labor writer Hamilton Nolan on power of a strike for workers to get better pay, benefits & conditions hamiltonnolan.com/p/getting-comf…

Congratulations, Newton Teachers Association! Your fight was righteous and inspiring. Solidarity is a force stronger than gravity. ✊

Congratulations Newton Teachers Association on your tentative agreement. When we fight, we win—and you fought hard for this victory. I am glad that come Monday morning students will be back in class with the dedicated educators, paraprofessionals, and employees of the Newton public schools.

I proudly stand in solidarity with Massachusetts Teachers Association educators striking for living wages, paid family and medical leave, and safe schools. There is no more important work than educating our young people and it is unacceptable that these educators are paid as little as $20,000 a year.
