There should be cycle infrastructure like this flowing direct between London and Cambridge (and indeed in a mesh between all UK cities)

Perhaps only a small thing, but in this context it seems wrong and a bad idea for Hughes Hall to be planning to build on green Protected Open Space in #Cambridge (an important community asset), when there are brown field options....

Sniff the air The draft order is a remarkable improvement. It's great to see Cambridgeshire County Council taking all the points raised in the court case onboard. This is really positive for Cambridge.

Very disappointing to see a prominent local businessman encouraging pro-traffic people to make multiple submissions in the Mill Rd bridge consultation. Clearly not confident that they have the support of local people for their views (they don't).

Having been advised by their 'expert legal eagle' that the proposed new Mill Road traffic order is a criticism-proof model of perfection, it seems the next move of the pro-car activists is to try to contaminate the feedback process on it (again)

Well itโ€™s good to see one of the great democrats appearing to suggest that respondents to the Mill Rd consultation should cheat.

Pity the poor visitor to the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority website, who is greeted with no fewer than four popup messages - two separate cookie warnings, a message about the bus franchising consultation, and a live chat in the corner. Go away! Just let me get on with finding what I'm looking for

As our kids go #BackToSchool, never forget that we ARE the traffic that weโ€™re using as an excuse. If they walked, biked or rode transit to school, it would erase a massive number of car trips each day, and our kids would be safer, healthier and better at school. Spread the word.

Support the County Council TRO to allow pedestrians, cyclists, buses, blue badge holders and taxis over the bridge. And not private motor vehicles, whose drivers will still be able to access all of Mill Road. If not now - when? cambridgeshire.gov.uk/residents/travโ€ฆ

Dear highway engineers Part-time cycle lanes just don't cut the mustard. Ppl need to get around at all hrs, not just from 7am-7pm! If we want cycling to be a real alternative, we need 24/7 lanesโ€”separated by more than a splash of paint! ๐ŸŽจ Yours truly Ppl who travel by ๐Ÿšฒ
