Say, hey, DIYers. Any of you ever make a cubby into the most high-class, luxury cubby to ever store anything?

Tips, please.

I think I’m going to put some dry wall up and a shelf! Is dry wall hard? Guess I’ll find out.

You: Me and my friends never answer polls!

Me: Me and my friends take polls and then call each other to discuss the details of the poll.

Isn’t it interesting how you and the people you know—and me and the people I know—aren’t reflective of the full range of experiences?

I’m very much looking forward to the O’s game tonight where we can all just “moooooo” instead of “booooooo” about my polls. 🫣🐄

Let’s go O’s.

Sounds good.

You should really appreciate The Baltimore Banner’s poll reporting then. They spend hours calling back willing, randomly selected respondents to “humanize” the aggregate responses. I’m thankful for their considerable work.

FWIW, I don’t think polls are perfect. Sometimes pollsters miss. We should always work to adopt new best practices. For example, I’ve made adjustments in how I weight the data and have incorporated new modes (text to web) in our data collection.

I’m proud of my record in MD.

Appreciate it, but credit to the good folks at Pew Research Center. They have spent considerable resources on education—and I am so thankful for their work.

Yes, polling is harder now. But it’s incorrect to say that polls have “got progressively more inaccurate.”

Good morning, everyone.

Pew Reseach Center offers this really fantastic short course on how polls work. I use it in the survey methods course I teach.

Check it out! You’ll learn a lot:

You’re wrong, Donna. But that’s okay.

FWIW, we also incorporate text-to-web as part of our methodology to reach folks who prefer an online mode.

But, hey, I’ve only been conducting scientific polls for more than a decade with a solid track-record. What do I know!
