Happy Birthday to No. 7⃣8⃣ Ryan Clady! The Denver Broncos drafted Clady in the 2008 first round. He was an immediate starter at LT. As a Bronco, Clady was a 2× 1st-team All-Pro (2009, 2012), 2nd-team All-Pro (2008), 4× Pro Bowler (2009, 2011, 2012, 2014), and a PFWA All-Rookie!

Sept. 6, 1981 — Dan Reeves (RIP) had a sloppy—yet successful—debut as the Denver Broncos' head coach with a 9–7 win over the reigning Super Bowl champion Oakland Raiders. Craig Morton connected with Rick Upchurch for a 44-yd. TD. DEN's defense forced 3 turnovers and had 5 sacks.

Sept. 6, 1992 — In Week 1, John Elway led the Denver Broncos back from another fourth quarter deficit for a 17–13 victory over the L.A. Raiders on TNT's SNF! Reggie Rivers scored the winning TD. DEN's defense forced 5 turnovers, including a Michael Brooks 54-yard scoop-and-score.

No. 2⃣6⃣, Tom Janik, a Denver Bronco defensive back/punter from 1963–1964, was BOTD in 1940. In 2009, Janik passed away. As a Bronco, he played in 23 games, with 14 starts. Janik punted 10 times for 374 yards and had 3 INTs, including this pick-six at Kansas City in 1964. RIP

#DENvsSEA WEEK — Nov. 17, 2002 — Denver's defense forced three turnovers, Clinton Portis racked up 188 total yards and Steve Beuerlein threw TD passes to Hape and Rod Smith following a Brian Griese injury in a 31–9 rout. This was the last time the Broncos won in Seattle.

Sept. 7, 1998 — The Denver Broncos began the defense of their first Super Bowl title by defeating the New England Patriots for the 11th straight time 27–21 on MNF! John Elway threw a TD pass to shannon sharpe. Sharpe also had a filthy block! Terrell Davis scored 2 rushing TDs.

Sept. 9, 1960 — In the AFL's inaugural game, the Denver Broncos defeated the Patriots 13–10 in Boston. Frank Tripucka connected with Al Carmichael on a 59-yard pass play for the new circuit's first touchdown. Eugene Mingo returned a punt 76 yards for Denver's other score.

Sept. 9, 2007 — Racing against the clock, Jason Elam connected from 42 yards out as time expired to give the Denver Broncos a 15–14 opening day victory over the Bills in Buffalo on a play known as "Toro"! Jay Cutler threw for 304 yards and a touchdown pass to BEAST.

We mourn the passing of No. 5⃣7⃣ Allen Aldridge Jr today. Allen Aldridge was a 1994 Denver Bronco 2nd round draft pick. He played LB/ST for DEN from 1994–1997. Aldridge is a Super Bowl XXXII champion and had one of the biggest plays in team history with his 1997 AFCCG end zone INT.

Sept. 9, 2012 — Peyton Manning resumed his illustrious NFL career, as a Denver Bronco, and helped lead his new team to a 31–19 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on SNF in front of a raucous home crowd! Manning threw for 253 yards and TDs to Demaryius Thomas (RIP) and Jacob Tamme.
