Camphill #Kinsale. The site of the main English siege camp in 1601, which was larger in size than the walled city of Derry. Undoubtedly one of Ireland's most internationally significant 17th Century archaeological sites.

#OnThisDay 1776 The US Continental army inflicted a small but pivotal defeat on Hessian forces at Trenton, New Jersey. The Americans capture 900 enemy soldiers & lose 2 themselves. One of the US leaders is General John Sullivan whose parents were from Cork. #Ireland #History
