I'm dismayed to see APD on campus. Our tax dollars shouldn't be used to violate students' right to assemble. Council Member Chito Vela, Ryan Alter, & I have requested an executive session legal briefing on APD's role in the UT campus protests. We need clear answers on APD's involvement.

The public should be able to see police contract proposals. This was previously the practice in Austin and supports our goals of transparency and accountability for APD.
