Not everyday do you run into a MLB Hall of Famer and member of the 600 HR Club. Thanks Jim Thome for taking a few minutes to talk to these boys and I. They were a bit shy to approach him but he was very welcoming. Mason Orton

Will be fun watching this young team continue to progress this season. Great job Bulldogs and way to go Haylie Orton in holding Eureka’s top scorer to 5 points.

A solid outing on the bump for Mason Orton 4IP, 1H, 2BB, 5K Only one ball hit in the air and out of the infield (flyball putout to RF). Great job fielding your position too. #groundballpitcher #southpaw #letyourdefensework youtu.be/g9Z9id2E1uA

Makes me cringe when seeing other teams allowing 13/14 year old pitchers to throw over 125 pitches in a 2 day tourney. One kid threw 60 sat then 60 sun. Then one kid threw 30 sat and 110+ sun. All for a fall ball trophy🙄. Do better!

There is SO MUCH hate about dad coaches, “daddy ball.” While I agree that “daddy ball” is out there, let’s not bash every “dad coach!” A lot of dads do a great job & care about players other than just their own kids! W/out dads, there aren’t many opportunities!!! #BaseballTruth
