Staveley Nature Reserve 27.12.2022 Some record shots,in heavy rain,of a female Smew on the west lagoon today,very flighty expecially when Cormorants got to close, associating with the resident Tufted Ducks

Staveley Nature Reserve 25.03.2023 After a period of heavy rain yesterday, a female Common Scoter was a good find resting infront of the carr's hide, quickly followed by our first Osprey of the year, flying straight towards the hide, pausing briefly to hover, before heading west.

Staveley Nature Reserve 31.03.2023 Nice selection on dark and dreary day. A Stunning Male Marsh Harrier spent nearly 2 hours hunting the east lagoon before drifting high south, 4 Pintail, 36 Shelduck, 5 Avocet and first Otter of the year, after a notable absence.
