There is an unsung hero in the ORBITA family and we don’t do forgotten heroes. Matthew Shun-Shin is the cleverest man I know and responsible for all the statistics and beautiful figures in ORBITA-2 (with a little help from my RAL chart). Give this man a round of applause!

Delighted to see our ORBITA-COSMIC design paper published in Eurointervention. Now for the results! My thanks as ever to my supervisors and the incredible ORBITA team Rasha Al-Lamee Matthew Shun-Shin Christopher Rajkumar Fiyyaz Ahmed-Jushuf Florentina Simader Graham Cole Prof Darrel Francis ☺ Mk CardioFellows Great Again

🚨 🚨 Please share with starting Novices for a warm welcome into the world of anaesthesia. The links have some feedback on them,if you’ve had a listen please leave your thoughts. What would you want to be in season 2? jon chambers @hasyourregtried Dr Helgi Layla Guscoth

Incredibly proud to celebrate Rasha Al-Lamee being awarded the Global CV Future Leader Award 2024 #GCVAwards. An exceptional mentor to us, who has also built a strong team of young researchers at Imperial College Matthew Shun-Shin Christopher Rajkumar Michael Foley Florentina Simader Shayna Chotai

Proud to be a co-author with Rasha Al-Lamee Matthew Shun-Shin on a 100% Bayesian clinical trial paper that also uses our latest longitudinal ordinal modeling approach, helped by the #rstats rmsb package: thelancet.com/journals/lance… How can cardiologist Matthew Shun-Shin master all this?

The symptom stratified analysis of ORBITA2 and the ORBITA-STAR trial both presented at #EuroPCR2024 and simultaneously published in JACC Journals by Florentina Simader and Christopher Rajkumar. PCI isn’t a therapy for all symptoms, it’s a therapy for angina Rasha Al-Lamee Matthew Shun-Shin

Proud of my friend Christopher Rajkumar presenting the game changing ORBITA-STAR trial on the main stage at #EuroPCR2024. EuroPCR’s got talent winner - well deserved against excellent competition. Rasha Al-Lamee Matthew Shun-Shin

Thanks to Tim Wells and the Salisbury District Hospital Cathlab team for making me so welcome. 2 patients now with coronary sinus reducers in place - something I didn’t believe would work until ORBITA-COSMIC showed it did! Just in case you thought the ORBITA team had gone on summer vacation… The first ORBITA-MOON case was completed yesterday. Another n-of-1 trial that might have some interesting results. Well done Shayna Chotai on achieving the first of many big milestones during your PhD!

Check out our journal club with OPCI on ORBITA-STAR and the symptom stratified analysis of ORBITA-2 Rasha Al-Lamee Florentina Simader NHLI

🙏🏻 Rasha Al-Lamee for coming to University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust today to proctor our first 4 coronary sinus reducer cases Shockwave Medical Great to get clinical program started after #ORBITACOSMIC The Lancet & important we can now offer symptom relief for angina beyond PCI/CABG/OMT 👏🏻👏🏻 great job whole team

Should PCI be an option for first line management of stable angina symptoms? Point and counterpoint in Circ: CQO with final word from Brahmajee Nallamothu and TCTMD ahajournals.org/doi/full/10.11… Rasha Al-Lamee

🎉New NovPods! This time Eoin Dore and Dr Duncan Kemp are joined by Rosie Grimes to navigate us through the world of obstetric anaesthesia. Episode 1: A typical day on labour ward Episode 2: Maternal physiology with Layla Guscoth 🎧 ow.ly/130k50TwaJN OAA

Cardiology research is “on FiRE” in Portsmouth today. 2 wonderful cases using in depth coronary physiology and imaging as part of the Orbita Fire study. As always super support from the wonderful Fiyyaz Ahmed-Jushuf, Chris and team.

It was such a pleasure to join Rasha Al-Lamee to talk all things ESC 2024 Thank you so much The Lancet #chloewilson open.spotify.com/episode/5AeJOc…

Excellent presentation by Michael Foley at #TCT2024 on physiology stratified analysis of ORBITA-2. FFR and iFR clearly predict the placebo controlled benefit of PCI. Especially in those with typical symptoms. Rasha Al-Lamee Sukh Nijjer Dr Ricardo Petraco 🫀
