I had a great TA who did an OU degree in English alongside working.She was so enthused and knowledgeable & joined in a-level lessons occasionally. I think if the route was linked to subjects and providers like Birckbeck and OU who already focus on this demographic it could work.

If every school in a town is in the same MAT with the same policies, curriculum etc, the issue of meaningful parental choice becomes critical. Not interested in the specifics of the 'traditionalist' policies because they provoke hardwired responses from all of us on edutwitter.
