The girls 4x4 relay capped off the night with a first place finish. Izzy Hyde, Blythe Harris, Liv Stevens, and Ella Aquino. Way to go ladies!

The rain last night at the Rockhurst relays didn’t stop Senior Brayden Lane from taking first place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.5 seconds. First place and a PR. Way to go B Lane!

Sophomore Liv Steven’s takes the top spot in the girls Triple Jump with a jump of 31’6. This was Livs first time triple jumping this year. Cant wait to see the rest of her jumps this year 🥇

No surprise here. Senior Finn Cusick wins the discus with a throw 155’7 which is a new PR. Great stuff Finn!

Staying with the throws, Junior Devyn Davis won the boys shot put and recorded a new PR. Devyn recorded a throw of 47’3 to claim first place on his final throw.

Senior Kendrick Cole triple jumps a mark of 43’8 taking first place overall. Also helped the boys 4x100 to a third place finish. Way to go Kendrick!

Leading from the starting gun, senior Ella Aquino takes first place in the 800m with a time of 2:21. Great job Ella 🥇

Jayla McClinton took the girls shot put title at the Rockhurst Relays. Jayla threw for a new PR of 35’4.5 taking first place by nearly five feet. Way go Jayla!

The Champs! The girls 4x800 team took first place at the EKL Championship tonight. Great momentum heading into regionals. Way to go girls.

Sophomore Liam Tesmer takes the crown at EKL in the triple jump with a huge PR of 45-7.25. Nearly a two foot improvement. Great job Liam!

What a day at regionals. Senior Finn Cusick got things off to a great start by taking second in the discus with a throw of 156-4. Punches his ticket to state next weekend in Wichita.

Jayla McClinton is your girls regional champion in the shot put! She threw a personal best 39-3.75. Way to go Jayla!

Have a day Brayden Lane! He took first place in both hurdle events. He ran 15.5 in the 110s and 41.1 in the 300s to become the regional champ in both. Also ran 50.3 split in the 4x400. See you in Wichita B Lane!

Dante Combs and Ella Aquino both took second place in the 400m. Dante ran a PR of 50.3 and Ella ran a PR of 59.9. Also helped both 4x400s move onto state. Way to go guys!

Sophomore Liam Tesmer will be busy next weekend. Qualified for all three jumps. 6’4 in the high jump, 21’7 in the Long, and 44’2 in the triple jump. Made his coach a happy man ⁦Rich Smith⁩

Junior Pierce Butler ran a huge PR of 22.6 in the 200m to qualify for state! Huge anchor leg in the 4x400 as well (50.1). Way to go Pierce. He was clearly too exhausted to open his eyes

The boys 4x400 relay sealed the deal to claim the boys overall team title. Junior Dante Combs, Freshman Will Scallety, Senior Brayden Lane, and Junior Pierce Butler. Huge PR of 3:26.6!

Both the girls 4x400 and 4x800 also punched their tickets to state next weekend with two big PRs! Way to go ladies.

Sophomore Liam Tesmer had a busy weekend at the State Championship Meet. He found his way to the podium in all three of his events. He took 2nd in the LJ, jumping 21’10, 3rd in the HJ with a jump of 6’4 and 7th in the triple jump with a jump of 44’3. Way to go Liam!
