So it’s my final day of work as in a few days I will be officially a pensioner and collect my Free Travel Pass. I started part time work in 1971 before starting my first full time job with Midland Bank in 1973.

Brentford’s last home game before Xmas used to see Father Christmas around the ground, one year with D J Bear, the EFL’s mascot as the Panda of Peace & another with a Midland Bank Griffin In 1985 the game was also free for women & children to help attract more families to GP....
