Year 6 designed & made hanging Christmas decorations & donated them to Willen Hospice. All the children worked incredibly hard, showing brilliant resilience (especially when it came to threading a needle!) & produced some lovely, creative decorations. Well done Year 6!

Friends of Middleton appealed to parents to overhaul their wardrobes and donate to the ‘Cash for Clothes’ collection. They raised over £280, which will be used to purchase resources for the school.

Foundation & Year 1 had a visit from Safari Stu this week. They learnt about various exotic animals & had the opportunity to handle some too!

Year 5 visited Stratford Upon Avon last week. They had a tour of the town and took part in various exciting workshops at the Tudor World museum.

Many thanks to the PTA for organising the celebrations for the Coronation of King Charles III. The children had amazing afternoon, completing craft activities and having an 'afternoon tea' with a coronation cupcake. The FOM kindly paid for all children to receive a keepsake medal

We're really proud of how hard the Year 6 children worked last week completing their SATs. They have been very busy this week preparing for the 'Enterprise Fair' which will be open tomorrow (Thursday 18th) from 3pm-4pm in the small hall/main playground.

We are delighted to share that Middleton continues to be an outstanding school, following our recent Ofsted inspection. Our thanks go to our wonderful children, staff, governors and parents/carers for their ongoing support.

It's been a busy first half term of the new school year! The open days for parents of children due to start school next September were well attended, with more planned for November. The PTA are hosting a Cake Sale this Friday to celebrate the half term break!

Our children and staff joined in with many other schools around the UK today, wearing spots and donating money for this year's BBC Children in Need. Thank you to everyone that participated! An update on the grand total will be in the next school newsletter.

We have had another busy few weeks in the lead up to Christmas! Year 6 visited Bletchley Park recently, they also made some decorations and cards that were delivered to Willen Hospice to spread some festive cheer. Wishing a Merry Christmas to all of our families!

The Minister for Schools, Damian Hinds, has congratulated us for the very high standard of achievement in Key Stage 2 reading, writing and mathematics. 91% of pupils reached or exceeded the expected standards. We are proud to be in the top 2% of all primary schools in England!🤩

Lots of children and staff came into school dressed as a book character to celebrate World Book Day yesterday. Each of the classroom doors were decorated with clues relating to specific books and the children could play 'guess the book'.
