Tropical Storm Elsa is on track to impact central and eastern Virginia this afternoon and overnight into Friday. With this storm, there is an increased chance of tornado activity. Now is the time to prepare and familiarize yourself on what to do during a tornado.

A tornado watch is in effect for much of the region until 11pm EDT. A few tornadoes are possible into this evening as the center of #Elsa moves northward. Tropical tornadoes tend to form quickly, so be prepared to take action if a warning is issued for your location.
