Today in 1985, JJ Dillon & Nature Boy Buddy Landel review a moment of Landel's... "youthful impetuosity." Yeah, we'll go with that. Landel attacks Magnum as he was entering the ring & whipped him like a dog... until he suddenly contracted a fever of 130. That's right, he said it.

Julio Cesar Chavez and Greg Haugen put 132,274 people into Azteca Stadium. Not sure who needs to know that factoid right now, but store it away.

So sorry to learn of the passing of the great Mike Patrick. Mike was the voice of ACC Basketball when I was a player, and I had the honor of working with him and calling him a friend. Mike Patrick was a pro’s pro. RIP Mike Patrick.

When Dad was an ACC official Mike Patrick called SO many of his games on Jefferson Pilot, then ESPN. I'd be on the sideline wondering if Mike was calling the game. If you saw a hand hanging out the TV booth window holding a cigarette, the answer was yes! Godspeed legend.

Mike Patrick was more than just a broadcast partner, he was one of my dearest friends. A true gentleman and professional. Working with Mike was fun and easy because he made it that way. Michael you will be missed.
