Really interesting summary & just a little ask ....HE needs to be nimble and effective in crafting narratives of economic, social, cultural and technological value and to be a contributing factor and part of the solution to the myriad challenges facing the next government...

I had the privilege of being taught by [email protected] in Liverpool in the 90s & his enthusiasm & confidence in me as a L5 PAL tutor was instrumental to my career. A huge loss & very sad.

We need more investment in education evidence. Our new The British Academy The Royal Society report shows that whilst around 1.7% of the health budget goes on research, only around 0.05% does in education. Hence we have a more evidence led health system thebritishacademy.ac.uk/news/education…
