Picked up my uniform today,I am excited 🧡🙌

All dressed and ready for a ng tube fitting, very interesting but also slightly daunting that one day it will be me doing that,being on placement has been a real eye opener so far 👩‍⚕️

Long day working for 111 today Covid has exploded Those patients with sats probes at home help infinitely with triaging and picking up worrying low oxygen levels with relatively little symptoms If you can, please get a sats probe 🙏

Got so overwhelmed on one of my shifts this week, I ended up breaking down,it was the first time I felt that since my first day,luckily the team were so supportive about it,I managed to carry on,one more shift left of first placement 💗everyone right now is doing an amazing job!

Can we please please move away from describing people as ‘the Band 2’s’? They are more than their salary banding, and far more interesting as valued colleagues.

So a fellow psychiatrist ridiculed me for receiving therapy for mental health problems I was taken aback as I expected more from them To be clear I am Dr Ahmed Hankir I have recovered from mental health problems & I'm not ashamed to say so Please help reduce stigma & RT 🙏

Staffing is worst than its ever been. How can it be acceptable for one nurse to look after 16 patients that are acutely unwell? Unsafe is not even the word. How can we carry on like this?
