Today’s theme for #Museum30 is #study. This is a #mathematics textbook and was #published in 1566 by John Awdely. It was found ‘lost’ behind #Broadhurst #Manor in 1925. If you look carefully, you might make out the text! This artefact is on display at Lewes Castle & Museum and Anne of Cleves House!

These #artefacts are Iron barbed hunting arrows. During the #medieval era, #hunting not only provided food but was a popular past time amongst the #wealthy. The entitlements to hunt were restricted to the #privileged. These arrows were discovered in Hangleton and #Lewes, #Sussex

We still have some spaces left in our talk tomorrow night! This is bound to be incredibly popular as @Tweetisaurus will discuss the dinosaurs of the Weald, the state of knowledge today, and the methods being used to put flesh on the bones of these historic discoveries!
