Last week, in celebration of Public Safety Week, the #MiamiDadeEM team had the honor of being invited by Miami Dade College. We had the opportunity to engage with students, public safety officers, and the Hialeah Police Department, discussing vital safety protocols and emergency preparedness.

#MiamiDadeEM is thrilled to announce that Kulsum Agha was recently selected for the Big City Emergency Managers (BCEM) Emerging Leaders Program! Through this program, Kulsum is gaining valuable leadership skills, further strengthening our community’s emergency management efforts.

Extreme heat affects everyone, but some vulnerable groups need extra precautions. The elderly, newborns, and pregnant women are particularly at risk for heat-related illnesses. It’s crucial for them to stay hydrated and seek shaded areas. For more: bit.ly/3S7544X
