Muscatine High School's choral department held its fall concert Monday at the auditorium. Directed by Teale Burford and Hayden Stone and accompanied by John Hoelzer, the 9/10 Treble Choir, Bass Clef Choir, Varsity Treble Choir, Varsity Choir & Chamber Choir performed.

Muscatine High School's volleyball team swept Urbandale 25-20, 25-20, 25-20 in a Class 5A regional Tuesday night at the high school. The Muskies (8-21) advance to play state-ranked Dowling Catholic in a regional semifinal Thursday in West Des Moines.

First home game of the season! Come out to watch some Muskie basketball this afternoon.

Muscatine held Burlington scoreless in the second quarter and cruised to a 75-40 win over Burlington on Saturday afternoon. Five players scored in double figures for MHS (2-0) -- Spencer Biah (13), Tom Norton (12), Talan Becker (10), Adrian Gonpue (10) and Ryland Gbor (10).

Muscatine knocks down a season-best 13 shots from beyond the arc to run away from Davenport West on Friday night, 84-56. Junior Sam Church had a game-high 22 points while seniors Talan Becker and Canton Welsch each had 12. The Muskies (4-0) travel to Dav. Central on Tuesday.

Braxton Wade (138) and Andy Franke (190) claim titles for the Muskies at Fort Madison Invitational today. Each went 7-0 in the two-day tournament for the Muskies. Franke is 19-0 on the season; Wade 16-7. MHS finishes 10th in the 24-team tournament.

MHS had five individuals win events & prevailed in all three relays to beat Davenport West 91-65 in a boys swim meet Thursday night. Jey Balachandar (200 IM), Maddox Warren (100 free), Santi Diaz (500 free), Will Leavens (100 back) and Owen Lussman (100 breast) had wins for MHS.

The Muscatine High School boys basketball team rebounded from a mid-week loss with a 71-54 win over Clinton on Friday night. Adrian Gonpue had 18 points while Sam Church chipped in 15 and Talan Becker finished with 12. MHS (7-1, 5-1 MAC) travels to Davenport North on Tuesday.

The Muscatine High School girls basketball team pieced together one of its better games of the season Friday night in a 53-41 setback to Clinton. Ella Maynard had 13 points and Sadie Manjoine finished with 10 for the Muskies. MHS plays Rock Island Alleman on Saturday.
