One reason why autists and ADHD’ers may grieve for longer is the “time blindness” many of us have. The particularly fluid way we see and experience time can make it hard to give ourselves any closure we haven’t received and then move on, because our bodies won’t say “it’s time!”.

I deleted my last tweet because I am stepping away again (I just needed to share my grief over Bruce🐾) But I will say, don’t be surprised if more & more authors step away from social media. Our empathy/sensitivity makes us great writers but also makes our accessibility a target.

Donating Bruce’s beds to a local pitbull foster program, donating his food & treats (there’s a lot since we were doing everything to entice him to eat at the end) to another rescue here in LA that I’ve supported for a long time. Makes me feel a little better. He would want that.
