The ongoing conflict in Sudan is causing unimaginable suffering for those who are fleeing. #WVSouthSudan applauds all involved in moving people to safety & providing lifesaving support. The efforts by humanitarian partners & the Govt are showing results & need to be scaled up.

During emergency response for displaced people, every meaningful, timely contribution counts. Latrines & bath facilties segregated by sex are crucial for ensuring optimum WASH. More of these are needed to meet emergency standards of < 50 persons per latrine & shower shelter.

📍Juba, #SouthSudan WFP signs an agreement with the Government of Japan 🇯🇵 for a contribution of more than US$ 3.75 million. The contribution will be used to provide life-saving emergency food assistance and School Meals in the most food insecure parts of the country.
