Let’s not be classist/ableist when condemning far-right riots. Racism isn’t a “working class trait”. It’s woven into the fabric of our society and comes from the top. One of the few things that has trickled down. But it doesn’t have to be this way - we can build a better world.

I’ve seen the screenshot going round which talks about planned “protest” across Ancoats and the Northern Quarter. GMP and community safety have confirmed there is no substantial evidence behind this claim. We’re monitoring the situation and I’ll keep residents updated as I can.
