Ski Day 2 Update - A lovely day of skiing today. All groups were challenged, trying out new areas, and had an exciting cultural excursion to the supermarket! Looking forward to some disco fun tonight. All happy skiers!

Ski Day 3 - Everyone is skiing brilliantly, but the biggest shout out has to be our two beginner's groups - both of which have ‘bossed’ Red runs today!

Ski Day 4 - We enjoyed a fabulous evening at the Ski Show last night with a great display to inspire us today. Another fantastic day of skiing today with the beginners achieving the mighty Red 2E run, and the intermediate and advanced groups being successful on the Black runs.

Ski day 5 - After enjoying pizza last night we made our way to a different mountain today - Zwieselam - at 1.620 m we accessed the slopes via a gondola to the top. A great day for all!

We were delighted to take some Year 11 students to Churchill College Cambridge on 20th January for an aspiration raising day with a STEM session incorporating maths and science revision and an English writing revision session. The students were a credit to MVC!

Ski Day 7 - As we prepare for our journey home, we reflect on the amazing time we have had. Bright skies, beautiful weather, and awesome skiing. We thank our new friends at North Leamington School, our families, instructors, and drivers Kev and Mark - you’ve all been brilliant!

Ski trip arrival time - due to our drivers managing to get us to Calais in brilliant time - we travelled on an earlier ferry, MVC - eta arrival 3.30-4pm

On Tuesday our Year 8 students were encouraged to start thinking about their career pathways. They participated in a session listening to a series of career ambassadors who shared their career journey through personal stories and props. A huge thank you to our ambassadors.

We are delighted to welcome Kevin Hayes from Constant Change into school today to support our Year 11 pupils with effective learning strategies. Parents of Y10&11 have been invited to a session this evening to experience the same techniques and support their child's revision.

On Wednesday students took part in The Cam Academy Games at Comberton VC. Pupils tried different sports such as climbing, pickle ball, korfball and nerf wars. MVC students had a great day competing against other trust schools and learning some new sports. The Cam Academy Trust

We are looking forward to our Maths Mastery day tomorrow alongside our ‘Grab a Core Grade Day’ with our external provider, PET-Xi coming in to support our pupils. This is a great opportunity for Year 11 pupils to improve their grades at this vital time.

Congratulations to the Year 7 students who completed the Panathlon challenge at St Ivo school on Thursday. It was a delight to see how they represented the school so well.

On Friday, a group of Year 7 pupils travelled to Milton Country Park for some games of laser tag. We were invited by Claire McDonnell who leads the South Cambs School Sports Partnership. The school did battle with Comberton eventually prevailing 4-3 after a range of games.

We are excited to announce that two of our Year 8 pupils have reached the finals of the 2025 Chinese Bridge Mandarin Speaking Competition for UK Schools! Our pupils will compete in the finals live in London on Friday, 2nd May. We are incredibly proud of their achievement.
