I am saddened to hear of the passing of Frank Field. He was a true champion of welfare reform and working across parties to bring about change.

And while we didn’t agree on everything, his belief that welfare must be about transforming lives is one that I both admire and share.

We’re taking defence spending to 2.5% of GDP.

Inflation has fallen - again.

It’s now at 3.2%, the lowest it has been in over two and a half years.
