1/3When I realized we had to evacuate our home with a few minutes notice I had a decision to make on what would I take with me. I posted on Instagram a picture of those things as a reminder of what was most precious to me in that moment (besides pets and family of course!)…

2/3 It was a testament to how much I loved my Leica cameras. Unfortunately I didn’t think to grab the chargers. Today when I went to the Leica Boutique to replace those chargers lost to the fire, I was charged full price…$396.90. I am not the type to ask for handouts…

3/3But this seemed incredibly tone deaf for a company of #Leica stature. They thrive because of brand loyalty, and they just lost mine. EVERY company we have contacted to replace lost items have been incredibly kind and generous. $400 to replace plastic chargers just seems wrong

4/3 : ). We have been so moved at how caring and generous everyone has been in what is the most devastating period of our lives. Leica Camera AG not so much…Anyone live close to Wetzlar, Germany that can have a word? 🤨. Come on #Leica Leica Camera AG do better.
