It was an honor to gavel in as Chairman of the Senate Ag Committee Republicans Subcommittee on Conservation, Forestry, Natural Resources, and Biotechnology. We held a hearing on the Fix Our Forests Act — critical legislation to provide commonsense deregulation and streamline fire prevention.

Right after the horrific LA fires, Rep. Bruce Westerman and Rep. Scott Peters moved the bipartisan Fix Our Forests Act out of the House. The Senate has yet to move the companion led by Senator John Curtis, Senator John Hickenlooper, Senator Alex Padilla and Tim Sheehy. Senate should pass FOFA now.
