2. Today: YouTube thumbnails. What are they and how to get them right? Thumbnails are the first thing you see on YouTube. They contain a bit of text over an image. They're like the cover of a book. Here's a snapshot of what a thumbnail should have/shouldn't have.

The other key thing about thumbnails: they can be changed after you've posted the video. They can edited, or replaced with another thumbnail or 'cover'. Basically, try different versions out to see which thumbnails are good at getting engagement.
