Join us for our spring festival concert on Wednesday 27 March at 7.30. There will be performances by all our orchestra, all our ensembles and the fantastic music festival competition winners.

Day 2 of the McLarenHSMusic 🏳️‍🌈 festival saw the chamber music and senior solo competitions.
The standard was as astonishingly high as ever, and we are SO very proud of all the performers. Mrs Buchanan commended all of them. Pictured are all the chamber musicians.

Our music festival got off to a magnificent start today with the junior and intermediate competitions. Pictured here is our adjudicator and good friend Mrs Buchanan with some of today’s performers. Well done, you should all be immensely proud of yourselves. Results to follow.

Our annual music festival will take place on Feb 7-8. S1-2, S3-4, S5-6 solo and chamber music competitions will be loaded with talent. Our good friend Mrs Buchanan will adjudicate for us. So, get practising and put the word round. This is not to be missed!

Festive congratulations to Deia Wilkinson (S4) and Lara West (S5) who both successfully auditioned for the 2024 NYCOS programme. Well done to both of you. More good news for McLaren Music after our lovely Christmas concert on Monday.

Congratulations to all of the pupils and members of the parent and FP community who took part in our lovely Christmas concert last night. What a terrific atmosphere! Well done to our fab team in McLarenArt&Des for the amazing display. Thanks also to the PTA and enterprise team.

All members of the orchestra , jazz, trad and other ensembles and members of the pipe band please remember to bring your instruments with you to school tomorrow (Monday) as we will be rehearsing throughout the day. Please also spread the word….. share where possible!

Come and join us for a terrific evening of festive music and cheer on 18 December. We will be ably supported by fine musicians from the wider school community. McLarenArt&Des will also be exhibiting some artwork by some of the fantastically talented pupils.

Huge congratulations to S6 musical maestro Charlie Black who has just been offered a place to study for a BMus at the RCS. Well done, Charlie, we are all very proud of you indeed. You have a very exciting future ahead of you.

We look forward to seeing you at our first concert of the year on Wednesday 4 October. All our groups will be performing during an evening with a wide ranging program of vocal and instrumental music.
