I live in Upstate New York. You can tell me where you live is warmer, has a better economy, or more culture, but if you try to claim that there is a better place to spend October than the land of the Twilight Zone and Sleepy Hollow, then we will have words. #UpstateNY

If you are writing a book, your goal shouldn’t be to turn it into a movie. Literature isn’t Cinema’s minor leagues. If you want to write a movie, write a movie. #WritingCommunity #writing

It’s Saturday morning and I’m making pancakes. In my family we put sugar and lemon on pancakes. I am aware that some of you put ‘maple syrup’ on pancakes. I am sure you’re nice people, but when you come to pancakes you are philistines. We do it the right way. #panckes

My daughter is in a hospital three hours from home right now. You can draw a pretty straight line from this to Donald Trump’s decision to try and ignore the coronavirus and the fact we are here. The former President has had a direct negative impact on my family.
