Today is the 100th anniversary of the 1st flight of the “Barling Bomber,” regarded then as the largest flyable aircraft in the world. The project was managed by Maj Lawrence W. McIntosh, predecessor for Air Force Life Cycle Management Center & Air Force Research Lab - AFRL. Flown 88th Air Base Wing. See pics for the story. 1/6
