The Polish picnic was held in Lordship rec at the Shell theatre today. It was a very happy event and well attended. I was met by the lovely Sandra who had organised it. They’ll be more like today in 2027 when Haringey is the Borough of Culture.

Bruce Castle Heritage Quarter Day was enjoyed by many people who saw the new refurbished rooms at Bruce Castle. All Hallows church was open as was the Priory garden. There were history walks from the Chapel in the cemetery. What beauty Tottenham holds.

I popped into the West Green market at Harris primary school. Local people are filling a gap by providing this. There were a variety of goods and products on offer. It has been very well received and has already exceeded expectations.

Song works held their Big Sing outside Hornsey Library raising spirits and money for the Hornsey Food Bank and the planting project. The choir leader, Denise, was nominated for the Haringey creative and cultural award. This is a wonderful community choir.

Cultural Style expo celebrated heritage fashion, music, food and community in colour and style in the Wood Green shopping Mall. This exciting and beautiful event is another reminder of how wonderful Haringey is. I feel very lucky living here.

Mayor Tony Vourou of Barnet held the London Borough Youth Cup 2025 to raise money for his charities through football. What a pleasure to cheer on Haringey and support Tony who has kindly introduced me many times to our Cypriot community.
