Today was “lemon dayyyyy!” In third grade at Mayfield Elementary Lemon Day Pictures! In the morning, we learned about a lemon’s origins, uses, and life cycle. In the afternoon, we did a couple of lemon/baking soda experiments and tasted a variety of lemony snacks.

My students had a special visitor today! A therapy/facility dog named Glory came to visit and the students got to learn about what therapy dogs do. #mayfield #middierising

Look who decided to drop by Mayfield Elementary on Monday! Our utility workers spotted this hawk outside the school and realized it wasn't able to fly. They were able to safely catch the bird, which is now in the hands of a rescue program. #MiddieRising
