⚖️ Our latest quarterly data release shows that the number of people charged with a rape-flagged offence has increased again.

We are charging 72% of the rape-flagged cases that are brought to us by police, and the time taken to charge is continuing to decrease.

⚖️ Frank Partridge, a former police officer with the Westminster Licensing Unit, has been jailed for more than seven years for taking bribes.

⚖️ Connor Chapman, 23, from Birkenhead, has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 48 years for the murder of Elle Edwards on 24 December 2022.

Thomas Waring, 20, from Barnston, has also been jailed for nine years for assisting Chapman after the murder.

⚖️ If someone commits a crime against you because of your sexual orientation or transgender identity, that’s a hate crime. It's our job to prosecute these crimes and we’re dedicated to delivering justice for victims.
