I introduced yesterday 3 bills to address the DC's growing housing shortage and legacy of segregation.
Our community must do its part construct ample and diverse housing options and create a welcoming Ward 3 for all.

Ward 3's Councilmember Matt Frumin has introduced a package of bills that he says will remove existing legal barriers to constructing new housing in far Northwest DC/Rock Creek West, which has lagged behind the rest of the city in constructing new affordable housing units

.Councilmember Matt Frumin is introducing bills to void covenants banning the construction of multifamily housing in Chevy Chase and elsewhere in Ward 3, and remove old racial/religious covenants on deeds too.

He hopes it will help accelerate efforts to build housing in NW, which have lagged.

For those in their 2nd night w/o power, this is hard. The damage from the storm was enormous. Digging out is a big job. As frustrating as it has been, much credit to Pepco Mayor Muriel Bowser CA Kevin Donahue DDOT DC for swinging into aggressive action. Let's keep it up and get it done.
