nintendo's ordered a takedown on all nintendo fan content in Garry's Mod today, which is funny to me because it's so far past GMod's time in the zeitgeist, but also, are they just bored right now? are they going to go after Newgrounds cartoons from the 2000s next?

my first official foray into recommendation videos goes live tomorrow, but you can see an early version of it tonight on Patreon! I talk about all the cool games coming out in May. i just have to get the music & SFX in, and do my best to erase any little inhales/mouth noises.

ok, i did my best to get the excess inhales and mouth noises out. there's still a few, but any between phrases i've nuked. when i get up i'll add some vg music, and throw a few SFX in, then it'll go live on Youtube in the late afternoon

even ignoring the AI title cards, Late Night with the Devil is really mid, imo. did not feel genuine for found footage, felt overly scripted, lacked chemistry between actors. great practical effects though. but why add on such tacky cheesy CG? Ghostwatch did it so much better

i finished writing and recording narration for a video about games coming out in may. it's a 10 min video that'll have some animation but otherwise a lot of game trailer footage just to signal boost some cool stuff

Eiyuden's neat so far, although the dungeons feel a little too straight-line so far, reminding me of the first Octopath. i mean, I still gave the first Octopath an 8/10 but i do hope they get a little more complex

video's 80% done, got a bit of animation to do on the back end which will probably take up most of the weekend? i don't know actually. i haven't conceptualized the final shot in my head yet aside from basic staging

it felt more like fiction-within-fiction, like in a sitcom when the main character goes on an in-universe talk show, rather than a found master tape from a haunted talk show recording. like the fake talk show on the TVs in the first Alan Wake game

there's tales of kenzera, eiyuden, harold halibut, and another crab's treasure all available to me this week, where am i gonna find the time??? and then all of may's games... agggghhh
