Help! I am looking for a physical copy of the WAIS stimuli book that I can borrow for 10 minutes. Ideally from someone in Exeter... if you think you can help then please get in touch.

Hello Twitter! I'm looking to do some speech/sound analysis in my next study. I've never done this before - is there anyone out there who might be able to point me in the direction of some good guides or software to use?

Today I read 'How people talk when teaching a robot' by Kim and colleagues (2009). I've learned a lot about affective prosody in this well designed study. Most importantly however, I now REALLY want the robot dinosaur they used. 🦕

Today has been a good day. Like many doing a PhD at the moment, the last while has been tough, but over the last few days I've received lots of good little bits of positive and promising news. So I'm leaving a tweet here as a reminder to my future self - there are good days too!

Thank you very much to the lovely people at NAS Exeter, who let me waffle on about my study and gave me some brilliant feedback on how to make sure are able to participate comfortably. 😄

Lotty Brand I definitely see where you're coming from, I'm not sure exactly what you mean by satisfying though - satisfying in the sense of 'this doesn't acknowledge how special my experience of being human is'? or scientific satisfaction, as in 'this doesn't fit the evidence?'
