Today on the hill- 2 more DC crime bills. Again without hearings involving DC officials or citizens. First would allow President to appoint Judge's to DC's Superior Court. (There is currently local oversight). Second is to allow vehicular pursuits by police. WUSA9

After taking $1 billion from DC's budget- this Congress has released a CR that would allow DC to spend its money.

Oversight Committee calling for certain social media companies to come to Congress. Notably not X, Meta, or Google.

Vote in judiciary reforms in DC passed. Looks like along party lines. WUSA9

Rep. Elijah Crane (R-AZ) mistaking DC’s AG for the DC US attorney. He appears to be not clear who prosecutes the majority of DC crimes. Also calls fmr. DC US attorney Matthew Graves ‘AG Graves.’ Again wrong office.

Robert White announced he will run against Eleanor Holmes Norton for DC’s Congressional Delegate. Holmes Norton has been speaking at recent DC crime hearings and bills.

Federal workers and Maryland federal leaders asking for Congress to step in and stop Trump administration’s mass firings of federal workers. WUSA9

Maryland Senators proposed a bill to protect federal workers if a shutdown happens. It died in the Senate but I’m told it can be brought up again. WUSA9
