Have you ever realized that you have been thinking about something all wrong, for years? Then the better way clicks all at once. I had that experience today, in the shower (of course) about Event design. Writing a blog post about it to see if I'm on the right track.

A good idea with a flawed implementation is still a good idea. Event sourcing is a great idea that's commonly misunderstood for this reason. What are other great programming ideas that are commonly misunderstood because of flawed implementations?

What’s the antipattern called when the implementation tech influences the design?

Coming to the conclusion that Aggregate Roots are a different style of CRUD. They are more expressive with all the business-relevant functions, but the idea of a primary entity for both reads and state change isn’t fundamentally that different from CRUD on a record.
