Penalties? They give them for anything these days. 79 so far this season, 65 scored. If none had been awarded, we’d be going into the last day with Arsenal crowned champions. Liverpool have benefited the most (surprise), gaining 11 points (mostly wins that would have been draws)

Do footballers play too much football? If we’d reverted to golden goal wins, we’d have seen some (very) short games but still with a race for the top going into the last day. Plus Ipswich would have survived in place of Man Utd, what’s not to like?
