The new monetized streamer agreement allowing you to get bits and subs before you become an Affiliate only benefits Twitch. Most new streamers never make it to Twitch Affiliate, so they will never see an actual payout. However, Twitch can now sell the ads on your channels. 👀

1 day and 1300 streamers is not an adequate sample size the make big conclusions on. This is ~0.1% of active streamers and does not compare with the current trend among all streamers.

This is fantastic news across the board! Cracking down on viewbots is good for all streamers and the platform. Keep it up Twitch!

Let me put this is it there AGAIN: - You can have 2 tabs open and count as a viewer in both. - Opening a third drops you as a viewer for the first (but still shows you in the active viewers tab in chat) -Interacting with a Channel Point Reward or saying anything in chat

I don't know who is going around telling streamers to not take Twitch #Affiliate to avoid ads, but please stop. Just take your affiliate, enjoy the milestone, and learn to deal with the ads early. That way they won't bother you when you are bigger.

One of the hardest parts of being a Twitch advice creator is when new streamers tell me they want to quit school or work to “go full-time.” 💔 Streaming looks like an easy path, but it takes years of dedication and thousands of hours of work and even then <1% make it full-time.

According to the last numbers, the average of getting Twitch Partner is 3-5 years. The average of getting Full-time is 5-7 years. I'd love to see Dexerto's data to support this claim that "building an audience organically" takes a year.
