Great to see Music Venue Trust Own Our Venues scheme was successful in the latest Community Ownership Fund 🙌

We need to have a new model of community ownership in the UK which builds wealth and prosperity within our communities not extracting it for rich investors ✊🏼

Loved popping in to Helix Arts new venue on Saville Street earlier 🎨

They are celebrating their 40th anniversary by looking back at some of their previous work as well as looking ahead for the future ⏩

Let’s hope they stay around for another 40 years 🙌

I’m working tomorrow so off today in lieu and that meant I was able to see the unveiling of the name of the new square in North Shields

It is Thomas Brown Square in memory of Thomas Brown, a North Shields boy who helped shorten World War II by capturing Enigma Code books

An impressive win, taking votes from all sides. The Greens in Lancaster are obviously doing things right! 💚
