Today, psychologist Floor van Meer won the Trial and Error award for her study on the effect of car driving on snacking!
Together with Utrecht Young Academy, we looked for a way to acknowledge the important role of trial and error in science. The result: a price for 'failed' research!

A happy coincidence: this paper on GIs that we presented at AES 2022 Agricultural Economics Society had just come out online today on the last day of #AES_2024 . We find that WTO protection of EU wine Geographical Indications has increased their exports Applied Economics Perspectives and Policy.

After the big dinner at #AES_2024 Agricultural Economics Society there was a Ceilidh, i.e. a traditional Scottish dance. Picture shows the band setting up, the dance itself was a lot of fun (much more than I expect conferences to be). A wonderful day: run, conference, dance. Thanks all!
