Today we're looking forward to opening our doors to all those attending the conference organised by The Marlowe Society of America The Marlowe Society of America, held this year at Goldsmiths, University of London in Deptford - do come and say hello! #marlowe24

NEW BARDATHON REVIEW: Beyond Shakespeare present Faustus To Faustus as part of The Marlowe Society of America 2024 conference in Deptford. One of the most interesting imaginings of a fictional writing process that I've seen in a while. Full review up at the blog: drpeterkirwan.com/2024/07/11/fau…

So impressed with the second round of « Marlowe and Materiality » at the The Marlowe Society of America conference with fantastic talks about skin, blood (with an amazing practical discussion of stage effects using bladders filled with vinegar), ghosts and pest control- some wild stuff here!

Our final keynote speaker Eoin Price invites us to revisit evidence about repetition in the repertory & Marlovian performance. #marlowe24

Thank you for sharing your new work on repetition, time, & performance with us, Eoin Price! Safe travels. #marlowe24

Our last afternoon of panels is just getting underway. Matthew Steggle introduces “RETHINKING RECEIVED WISDOM: NEW DIRECTIONS IN MARLOWE STUDIES.” #marlowe24

Heading home from #marlowe24. Only regret is not getting to say hello properly to tweeps inc Rachel Willie, @earlymodatLancs , and Eoin Price. Footsore, underslept, and enthused. Congratulations to the organisers.

Thank you The Marlowe Society of America for a BRILLIANT week - and to the international community of Marlowe scholars for welcoming this nerdy fiction author with such warmth and generosity. I came to research a book and left with the Marlowe bug … consider your work here done. 🙏🌹🎭

Still processing #Marlowe24 - which challenged and stretched my thinking about Marlowe, early modern drama & the task of literary criticism- but I'm so impressed with the intensity & brilliance of the community that Prof Lucy Munro claire m. l. bourne & @dnmcinnis gathered in Deptford

What a fabulous time at #marlowe24! Thank you to Prof Lucy Munro, claire m. l. bourne, @dnmcinnis & all of you wonderful scholars who made these past few days so enriching, rigorous, & generous in spirit. I look forward hopefully to seeing many of you again soon!!

Heading home after having a fantastic time at #marlowe24! Thank you to Prof Lucy Munro, claire m. l. bourne, @dnmcinnis & all the inspiring scholars who contributed to the discussion. I have no excuse now, have to write my book! 🍀

Thank you for letting me put my seventeenth-century biases aside for a bit to be an interloper at your magnificent conference, The Marlowe Society of America; it was fantastic and truly energising!

We need more conferences like #marlowe24! Much thanks to Prof Lucy Munro, claire m. l. bourne, @dnmcinnis, and everyone else who contributed to making this wonderful event possible.

Many thanks to Prof Lucy Munro claire m. l. bourne and @dnmcinnis for organising such a fantastic conference in Deptford this week. I thoroughly enjoyed auditing such excellent panels - highlights include our visit to The Rose and the many and varied papers on The Massacre! #marlowe24

Those who attended #marlowe24, take note!— Throughlines is the project that @respinosa1564 referenced during the Q&A following his terrific keynote.
