As you are aware, the residents of Dimock have suffered so much & trusted you. I’m greatly disappointed by how you failed this community & have not delivered on your promise. Many people have been supporting them since 2010 & we aren’t going to stop until they have clean water!

I first visited Dimock in 2010 when New Yorkers heard about how their water had been poisoned during drilling & fracking. I heard firsthand the horror stories of how sick these people were and saw their toxic water that could light on fire from their kitchen faucets.

As a result, PA Governor Rendell put a 9 square mile ban on fracking in Dimock & forced the company - Cabot Oil & Gas - to deliver water, which the next Gov Corbett stopped. Then the families sued the company & while some gains were made they still did not have clean water.

In 2010, residents and allies demanded the gov't force the company to build a water pipeline from a neighboring town to get the families clean water but it never went anywhere. For a period of time environmental organizations paid for water deliveries. I was there for that too.

In 2011, locals fundraised & rigged together a pickup truck w/ a water buffalo, used for farm animals, to fill up at a hydrant in a neighboring town. As Ray Kemble says, this is how he still gets water. He is disabled bc he broke his back slipping on ice getting water years ago.

As AG, you promised to hold the company accountable & tested residents' water. You made a deal to get water treatment systems that don’t work & break. Residents balked & you moved to get a water pipeline. They also asked you for their water test results which were never given.

After the court ruling, you stood up at your press conference with the residents - many who thought of you as a hero - while Governor Wolf was quietly lifting the 9 square mile moratorium for fracking to restart. As a result, residents felt betrayed.

Now that you are Governor, it’s time to come through on your promise: deliver them clean water & give them their water test results!

And reinstate the 9 square mile fracking ban in Dimock. Their water hasn’t been restored & it was lifted prematurely.
