It’s time for this week’s “Polling Place.” Let us hear from you! Selected comments will appear in Sunday's paper. Poll No. 1: The White Sox are closing in on the major league record for losses (120) in a season. At this point, are you rooting for them to break it?

Holocaust survivor Irene Kurtz threw the first pitch at the Toronto Blue Jays game. But it's the 97-year-old's sweet moment with the Jays' Jewish first baseman Spencer Horwitz that captured my heart. He wants so many pics with her! And no. Irene and I are not related. But all

#Bears OC Shane Waldron undaunted by Week 1 struggles. "We know what we want to be ... As we move forward, I think we’ll get closer and closer to that. I expect us to be there sooner rather than later as far as what our identity looks like." chicago.suntimes.com/bears/2024/09/…

The Cheat Sheet for Week 2, only in Sun-Times Sports — the Bengals' Joe Burrow is 3-1 with a 107.0 passer rating against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. But he's got a bigger hill to climb coming off a subpar performance in the Bengals' 16-10 loss to the Patriots last week.

All the haters who said Andrew Benintendi was a bad signing and the Sox's biggest disappointment are awfully quiet tonight.

It's a beautiful night for football in Houston — #Bears (1-0) vs. the Texans (1-0) at NRG Stadium at 7:20 p.m. on NBC-5. The Bears have lost nine straight Sunday night games since Jay Cutler threw three TD passes in the fourth quarter to beat the 49ers 28-20 in Week 2 in 2014.

The dawn of a new era? The Bears' 353 total yards in Shane Waldron's first two games as OC are the Bears' fourth fewest total yards in Weeks 1-2 in the Super Bowl era.

#Bears left guard Teven Jenkins on the "top of mind" issue the offensive line needs to improve on after two weeks: "Protecting Caleb. It's definitely protection."

Justin Fields is creeping ever closer toward playing at least half the #Steelers snaps this season. That's good news for the #Bears. chicago.suntimes.com/bears/2024/09/…

Jim Harbaugh showing the #Bears how it's done. ... So is Matt LaFleur ... a look at the bright side ... hope for the o-line? ... Justin Fields ... Darnell Mooney ... and an updated Bear-ometer. All that and more in ... 1st-and-10: chicago.suntimes.com/bears/2024/09/…

Justin Fields is 2-0. Luke Getsy scored 26 vs. the Ravens and won, with Gardner Minshew. Darnell Mooney beat the Eagles. Lucas Patrick is the top-graded guard in the NFL ... if it’s not the QB, the OC or the supporting cast, what else could it be — the water at Halas Hall?

A first-year OC with Sean McVay ties gets receivers open — including an ex-Bear — in a textbook game-winning touchdown drive. What a concept!

Mark Potash (@markpotash) 's Twitter Profile Photo

A week after Justin Fields was sacked 9 times vs. the Browns, the Bears rushed 39 (!) times for 188 yards vs. the Lions. Expecting at least that many attempts vs. a Colts team that allowed 260 rushing yards on 53 (!) carries vs. GB. Can't endanger the QB like they did last week.
