Making another pectus trophy for one of my patients to celebrate bar removal day using his pre-surgery CT scan. This new Bambu Lab printer is ridiculous. And the supports dissolve in water! APSA Surgeons IPEG #3Dprinting

Another VR education session with the students using Medicalholodeck, this time on pectus excavatum. Thanks again to UTSW Surgery for keeping me well stocked with toys.

New Looking Glass holographic/spatial/whatever display arrived yesterday! This is really freaking cool. Also, I have a very understanding wife.

Thanks to Yuri Kozlov and surgeons in Irkustsk, Russia for inviting me to present about how I use #VR and 3D reconstruction to prepare for complex surgeries. IPEG has always been one of my favorite meetings to make friends with and learn from people all over the world.

Playing with the new holographic display from Looking Glass. Think this thing might be helpful for patient and family discussions before complex cases. Also the frog is pretty neat. IPEG APSA Surgeons

Surgical anatomy lesson on pectus excavatum with one of my students using Medicalholodeck. Pretty positive feedback from the students so far and nobody has vomited in my office. UTSW Surgery APSA Surgeons IPEG

Since my kid never picks anything I can buy at Spirit Halloween, here's a 3D printed Astro Bot costume. I have no idea how cosplay people make this stuff all the time. Team ASOBI

Working on a DIY Pectus Arcuatum simulator. Testing some simulated bone filament for saw-ability. So far so good. Model made with 3D Slicer.

49 days until starting a new job at Children's Mercy Pediatric Surgery. Trying to see how many of these models I can bang out for my pectus kids before I go. Has been an amazing experience working with everyone at Children's Health and I'm going to miss this place. Bambu Lab UT Southwestern Medical Center

What started out as a way to print little trophies for my pectus patients has turned into a whole thing. Incredibly impressed with the other presentations and honored to have been included. Children's Mercy
