I had a fantastic day hosting Prof Botond Roska from IOB.ch. He gave the The Francis Crick Institute lecture, sharing his ground-breaking research into #optogenetics for retinal diseases & using mitochondria with protein binders to potentially treat Leber hereditary optic neuropathy. Bravo 🙌🏼

Another frosty morning but what a beautiful sunrise! Got a challenging day ahead, I know I have some bad news to share with a family, which troubled me through the night. Sometimes its hard not to get emotionally affected when you care so much for your patients & their wellbeing.
